Thenext pairof heavyweight competitors, who will coach opposite one another on the upcoming season of TUF: Brazil 2, is reportedly set with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum taking over the reigns this season.
Although the two haven’t signed any agreements yet, verbal talks are in place, according to multiple outlets, which spread the news on Tuesday.
When it comes to the show, it is expected to air on TV Globo in March of 2013 and will probably begin filming in early 2013. While tryouts for this second season were held earlier this year in Rio de Janeiro.
Being the first-ever international edition of the long-running reality competition series, TUF: Brazil debuted in March, 2012, featuring Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort as coaches for the ground-braking season. Once it aired on Brazil’s Globo, with solid ratings, it made its way to the USA via UFC.com and FUEL TV.
Now, let’s get you acquainted more closely with the fighters.
Nogueria, who coached opposite Frank Mir during the eighth season of the reality show in the USA, is no stranger to The Ultimate Fighter. Also, he proved to be a great coach back then, even though he lost his coaches’ fight to Mir via knockout. Now, he will try to coach another team, while waiting a showdown against Fabricio Werdum.
Speaking of Werdum, who appeared on TUF Brazil 1 as an assistant coach, this is a chance to delete his loss to Nogueira in Pride.
